“If something is boring after two minutes, try it for four. If still boring, then eight. Then sixteen. Then thirty-two. Eventually one discovers that it is not boring at all.”
— John Cage
A few months ago I was lumbering down a sidewalk through a rather uninspiring stretch of my city, in an uninspired state of mind and cursing half-inwardly at the cars driving speedily through the puddles that lay like landmines alongside me. I noticed this section of a boarded wall surrounding a small construction site. I had to brave my way through a bit of deep snow to reach it but I survived. Some trudge through snow in a quest for food, others to take photos of walls.
